Selfoss
Selfoss is 36ft (11 m) tall waterfall on the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum. This waterfall sits downstream from the mighty Dettifoss, so it is often overlooked. Selfoss, while smaller in height, is immensely wider than Dettifoss, with a width of around 330 ft (100 m).
Dettifoss
Dettifoss is the most powerful waterfall in Europe, with a water flow of 6,186 cfs (193 cms). The waterfall is created by the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river, where it spreads out 328 ft (100 m) and plummets 148 ft (45 m) into the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. You can find two more impressive waterfalls within the canyon, Selfoss and Hafragilsfoss.
Aldeyjarfoss
Just downstream from Goðafoss, you can find Aldeyjarfoss. Aldeyjarfoss is a small waterfall with a single drop for 66 ft. What it lakes in height, it makes up for in beauty. Similar to Svartifoss, Aldeyjarfoss is surrounded by an amphitheater of basalt columns.
Goðafoss
Goðafoss is rich in history and legend. Fed by the Skjálfandafljót river, the horseshoe-shaped waterfall stands at 37 feet (5m).
